Slumdog Millionaire

"Slumdog Millionaire" in brief, the move is a surprise; I did not think it would be as good as it was. This movie is about Jamal Malik played by Dev Patel a down and out Indian teen became a contestant on a game show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" He did not intend to win anything he just wanted to locate his girlfriend Latika (Freida Pinto) by going on T.V However; he becomes one step close to winning the entire prize. With this in mind, the police arrested him for possible cheating. Jamal Malik was tortured by the police but when they heard his life story chapter by chapter they believed him. This movie go's into the life of down and out kids living and surviving the slums of India that was very graphic. How Jamal Malik had to deal with crime corruption and lowlife hoodlums of the worst kind. The acting was excellent and the movie was well put together. I think this movie will stand out as one of the best movies this year.
